She's now in Paris for shows (available via Marilyn Agency) and I'm really curious to see where Malu will end up walking as she has a soft nonchalance which I admire very much. Catching up on Antonia

I think it's a fun idea to talk to girls who I featured when they were all new and green but meanwhile got to a point where you can call them successful international models. Antonia Wesseloh surely belongs to the rather successful group of previously featured models. With her tomboyish attitude and fragile nonchalance, she has won over several top industry creatives during the last months. Shooting numerous times with Meisel and enjoying much popularity during the SS12 shows, Antonia took a moment to answer my questions. 

Which was the most surreal moment in your career? 

When I was told about the Prada campaign booking by my mom. I was freaking out, literally. Both travelling to New York and shooting with Steven for the campaign were the best things that have ever happened to me. 

What is it like to work with him? I imagine it to be quite a challange, since you entered modeling just a few months before. 

Well I actually started modeling almost a year before, but yes, it was the first big thing in my career. It was interesting, he's one of the most legendary photographers and working with him has a big impact on your career, it was amazing. 

Ever since you started, people compare you to Freja Beha! Any thoughts?

I've never met her in real life but I would love to! Maybe I'll see her in Milan or Paris. As for the comparison, not sure what to think about it. I don't really see the resemblance, only on a few images. 

Are you still in school? How do you maintain school with your job? 

Yes, I'm actually still a student. I try to do both. I definitely want to finish my school education because it provides safety and I want to have something for later on. 

First thing you're going do when the show circuit is finished? 

I'm going back home, met up my friends because I love and miss them so much, and school.

A natural beauty with this certain luxurious twist, Valerija will surely leave her marks on the European catwalks as well.

South African student Katryn from the always sunny Cape Town was scouted by the owner of Y Models in a shopping mall a half a year ago and is one of the fresh faces from Prada's Resort 2012 book. The piece featured quite a few interesting newbies, but to be quite frank, none of them came close to the brilliancy of Katryn, at least not to me. This one truly is different.
With much more presence than you'd expect to come from your average new face, Katryn has a radiant positivity and popping dynamics that will keep you spellbound once you have given your attention to her book. Lionized as "a girl with a strong work ethic" by her agents, Katryn is placed to IMG Models in Paris.

New York Models' freshly printed package is my clear favorite of all packages for the upcoming S/S12 season. Quite a harmony has been created here, with attention to detail and no trouble or expense spared.
