Chitchat with: Chloe Memisevic

Snapped by Cat Model Management (Berlin)
In profound obsession - That's actually the best way we could describe our relation to 17yo new face Chloe Memisevic that started by the time we stumbled over some polaroids in June 2009. It has been her enigmatic inimitability, the calmness & infinity of her green eyes, just the entire peacefulness surrounding her very magical yet otherworldy appereance - like an angel of the darkness and literally one of the best niche girls we've seen in years breaking the hackneyed clichés of Scandinavian conventionality in fashion. Backed up by motheragent Nisch, a 2008 Stockholm established boutique agency with an old-school inspired range of sublime boys and girls, FM Agency of London whom we have spent some words on in July, Cat Model Management of Berlin who enabled Chloe a debut with over 10 shows during Fashion Week Berlin, the direct booking company D Management in Milan and last but not least NY's resuscitated powerhouse Wilhelmina, she's part of a cutting-edge management network crossing the trend of Eurpoean boutique style management (Nisch, Cat..) with power houses of long stading tradition as for some main markets. The "new wave" might be something of a counterpart to the common modelling agency. Rather than maintaining up to 4 divisons, European boutique management follows its very own vision, beyond expetions, guiding names like Code Model Management, Bloom, AM Model MGMT, Fashion does it Better, Nisch etc. That's hightly interesting and definitely worth a future article, but so not the point of today's date - hence back to Chloe herself: Currently in New York, Chloe took some minutes to answer our questions as you can read below.

Motheragency: Nisch Models

How did you get in touch with your motheragency Nisch Models?
I got scouted through my former blog last year.

What do you prefer thus far - Runway or print?
I fancy runway while it's more of a rush, and everything happens really quickly.

Places you would love to visit at least one time?
Russia and Argentina would be fun, while it's totally different from the places I've been to so far.

Favorite song at the moment?
Vitalic - Poison Lips

One goal you wished to archive in live?
Go to as many places as possible.

Photographers/magazines you'd love to work with?
Paolo Roversi is quite amazing I think! I'd love to work with him, aswell as I would like to shoot for i-D Magazine.

Favorite modelling experience?
A shoot I had in London, where we mostly hang out in the stylists home and ate good food, then we were shooting in a supermarket and I was playing a paranoid women.

Your favorite blogs?
I don't read that much blogs, though I often visit Fashion Gone Rogue and COÛTE QUE COÛTE. JustJr is really nice, too.

Ann Demeulemeester or Rick Owens?
Ann Demeulemeester!

You can choose to be an exclusive for one designer, who would it be and why?
I really like Givenchy, they never disappoint. Also they always have a good cast. Prada would be fun too, also because of the cast and the greatness of the brand.

If you had to pack your suitcase now, but could only chose 3 items - what would you pick?
My computer, a good jacket and skincare products.

What are you currently obsessed with clothing-wise?
Must be jackets! I am tired of summer clothes so I am forcing fall by dressing warm.

Besides modelling - which profession would you like to pursue?
I want to have my own company one day and work with design.

Where are you off to next for modelling?
I am in New York at the moment which is exciting, and after that I'll be off to London!
