Interview: Jonathan Waiter (Photographer)
Jonathan Waiter is not only an astounding photographer with a talent to showcase his very own sentiments of beauty -walking on a very thin line between provocative and haunting- but with every of his works, he also proves that it only needs three things to take an impressive picture: a simple setting, a handful of sinister ideas in ones mind and a girl with no fears to discover her "evil side".
Based in the Netherlands Waiter is full of passion and eager - which defenitely shows in his photographs, being all filled with a special power that seems to break out of the pictures as soon as you start studying them a bit more.
So, this interview should give you a little insight about who is behind those spooky images:

Newface Madness: Annabel
Annabel Schulz, New Face @ Viva Berlin

Height: 181 cm
Measurements: 79-63-86
Age: 15
Location: Lübeck
Favorite Designer: Tommy Hilfiger
Favorite Singer: A fine Frenzy
Hobbies: Riding, Jogging, Sewing
How and when did you get into modeling?
I applied at the agency Viva Models in March 2009. My booker answered that I should come to Berlin in order to take some pictures. Since then I'm signed with them.
Why did you decide to sign up with Viva Berlin?
Because a friend told me that this agency should be good. So I decided to become a model of this agency.
How is modeling like? Is it more difficult that you have expected it to be?
No, I already know that it would be difficult and hard. So I wasn't surprised.
I like modeling because I have fun while I'm doing it.
That's why I hope that I'll get a “real job” soon.
Do your friends know that you work as a model? If so, how did they react when you told them about it?
Only my best friend knows it. And she is glad about it and really proud of me.
But I don't think that my other friends will react like her. That's why I don't tell them.
Your body & skin are very close to perfection.
Do you have an eye on what you're eating?
How do you maintain your skin?
I really try to eat only health food. No fast food, no sweets.
I think that helps my body and skin to be beautiful.
What would you say is the best and the worst thing about modeling?
The fun at the shooting and on the runway is t he best thing. The worst thing is that you have to wait so long until you get a job nowadays.

Interview: Maike Lüdenbach @ Next
Following London Fashionweek from a distance (our laptops, that is) gives us a little break to "recover" for the real big things starting on the 25th in Milan. Now, as a little harbinger for said "big things", Maike Lüdenbach (a model-diamond who already exceeded the stage of polishing and grinding) was content to give us a little insight into her world.

Motheragency: UNO (Barcelona)
Agencies abroad: Next (Worldwide)
Location: "living in a big suitcase right now, but it looks like staying in Paris until December"
Maike Lüdenbach is actually a singer. But regarding the picture posted above it is defenitely noticeable that singing isn't her only talent. Maike is a model now and probably Spain’s most promising newbie in a long time. After signing up with Next Worldwide she immediately convinced some of the major players: Starring in Emilio Pucci’s latest Fall Campaign, photographing an Italian Marie Claire and several Vogue editorials are only a few of Maike’s achievements and if it goes on that well her list of achievements will never find an end. Currently doing fashion week in Madrid she felt free to answer our questions, containing everything that is worth to know about her as person and professional model.

German power in NY
Fashionweek time!
When it's September and New York is calling, all the girls are rushing, getting ready for the catwalks.
New Faces, established girls, comeback-queens - everyone is in town. German girls make no exception. And what else can we do to support our compatriots than to showcase their amazing showcards for the S/S10 season in NY:
Katrin T @ Women - currently gracing the cover of TUSH, she has also scored the Zara campaign (together with Toni) and hopefully link to the success she had in her very first season (one year ago at the S/S09 shows)

Toni G @ Women - the Fräuleinwunder from the seaport Hamburg is ready to impress on the runways once again. And as the buzz about her won't stop, it seems safe for her to have an a-list show season once again

Karolin W @ Supreme - alongside Katrin (and Luca Gadjus) on the cover of TUSH, probably continuing her recent success (Gianfranco Ferré campaign, several eds in various Vogue issues, and i-D) on the runways too

Iris S @ Supreme - the Austrian girl who seems to be attaining iconic-status right now should have a lot to offer at the shows this season aswell

Anne Sophie M @ Ford - promising New Face to watch out for! Already starting her show-season at the Berlin shows, Sophie is eager to make an even better debut in NY

Daria P @ IMG - the underrated girl who proved herself in several great editorials and most recently booked the Blugirl Underwear campaign, hopefully will celebrate her final runway-breakthrough

Tabea K @ Marilyn - already walking for great shows in the last season, and shooting for Elle or with Chadwick Tyler should provide her a stable platform to rise to the next step of her career now

Interview: Adrian Nina (Photographer)
Adrian Nina, a photographer in his 20's who is based in NY and always trying to capture the right mood in the right moment. He is able to entrap certain things in his photographs which seem to be obvious, but still come out so special in his images. Things that maybe don't come to everyone's mind as "beautiful". Things that simply seem hidden to most of us. But Nina knows very well how to bring these things out, show them to the viewer and impress with the uncanny simplicity of beauty.
We were lucky to convert him to answer some questions for us:
